Joining a sorority seemed like a great way to do both while getting to hear and help create unique stories and unparalleled experiences, with a classy bunch of ladies I aspired to be like. I’ve met sisters with similar interests, passions, and values to me, while also meeting sisters from varying backgrounds, programs, and experiences. I wanted to create enriching opportunities for myself before I left the University of Waterloo and a sorority seemed like the perfect way to accomplish this. I gained a new set of friends who quite quickly became family. Favorite activities: I’m an avid patron of the arts and I love reading, writing, the arts, travelling, dancing, singing, and cooking. I have a friend in the states in a sorority and she loves it and told me I had to at least have a wee look into it all. I did, and I loved it! Also I’m super far away from my real sisters and all my friends so I wanted a group that I could really feel part of and who could become my new sisters. Favorite activities: I love drinking tea, playing my harp, reading the Bible, deep conversations, watching period dramas and musicals. I adore the Queen and adore talking and reading about her and basically anything to do with her, including standing in the miserable British rain for 6 hours in a pair of flip-flops just to catch a small glimpse of her jubilee parade.
