Hometown: Stouffville, ON Member Since: Fall 2020 Position in ΣΛΓ: Active University: University of Waterloo Program: Honours Arts, Communication Arts, Digital Art Communication minor, Co-op Estimated Graduation Year: 2024 Reasons for Joining ΣΛΓ: I rushed SLG in my 1B term. In high school, I really enjoyed the extra curriculars I was a part of and I was in a lot of clubs and committees throughout my four years. I got to know a lot of people by doing those and it gave me things to look forward to. When coming to university, I wanted to join groups for the same reasons. I went to club fairs, checked social media, and went to events organized by different clubs to see what’s available and ultimately, what interested me. Somewhere in there, I found SLG. I came to their board game event with an open mind and we all just vibed, I liked it so much that I went to another recruitment event and the rest is history! The girls that are now my sisters are all so sweet and are the complete opposite of the negative stereotypes commonly associated with sororities. My sisters are my mentors and are some of my closest friends in university. I also was a Girl Guide from when I was 9 all the way up until I left for University. Some of my friends that I met in Girl Guides are still very close till this day. Similar to Girl Guides, SLG is also an organization that is known for their sisterhood and philanthropic aspect which drew me into SLG. I got to meet girls that I probably wouldn’t have crossed paths with on campus, which I’m so glad I did because I wouldn’t know what I would do without them. Favourite Activities: Playing games, shopping, travelling, hanging out with people and my doggo, listening to music on my Spotify/building Spotify playlists, watching Netflix, anything to do with food (Who doesn't love food?), swimming and water sports (I'm a fish), riding my bike, designing things on Canva, improv, and doin some exploring Big Sister: Arveen Mann Little Sister(s): Rita Vidot, Ana Ramirez Cruz |

Hometown: Kharkiv, Ukraine Member Since: Fall 2020 Position in ΣΛΓ: Alumna University: University of Waterloo, Program: Math Graduation Year: 2021 Reasons for Joining ΣΛΓ: I was brought in by a friend from board games club, and I went to the first recruitment event with no actual expectations (before, I have only known sororities from movies). However, I absolutely loved everything about SLG on that first meeting! It was the warm atmosphere, nice people, fun events, and much more. After that I decided that I want to join SLG and become a part of this amazing community. Favourite Activities: I really enjoy drawing, it helps me relax. Hometown: Markham, ON Member Since: Fall 2020 Position in ΣΛΓ: Alumnae Board Member University: University of Waterloo Program: Honours Recreation and Sport Business, Co-op Graduation Year: 2022 Reasons for Joining ΣΛΓ: Initially, a sister reached out and encouraged me to come out to recruitment, not knowing what I was really in for. But also, I regretted not being more involved in campus life the first couple of years and this was my chance to make up for that. Little did I know that I would end up meeting the some of the most fabulous, genuine, and welcoming group of ladies! SLG truly felt like the right fit for me because I share a lot of similar interests and values with the rest of the girls and that I always have such a blast with them. I'm incredibly grateful and honoured to be part of something super amazing.
